Only a masochist seeks pain!
There will be pain in growth. But not necessarily new pain.
It will be old pain, coming back to haunt you, coming back to try to stop you from growing.
The old pain only persists to tell you that something you did hurt once, or that you hurt someone once.
To heal, we must confront all the pain we felt – and all the pain we caused.
But this is not done through self-flagellation! It is done through seeking pleasure!
This is what I have been taught.
