I have a few go-to comfort foods. Ice cream is one of them. I love ice cream and can eat it at any time, from bars to sandwiches. I also love Southern-fried potatoes, which is another comfort food I enjoy. I make them all the time with sausage, and it is so yummy. A third comfort food, more like junk food, is Gushers. I have to always have some lol. I can eat those all day. These are my comfort foods that I love and eat to make me feel good.

Food, oh food, how I love thee
My heart skips a beat just to see any
From the crunch of chips to the sizzle of bacon
My love for you will never be forsaken
But, my love you are not always kind
For my greed for food is hard to confine
I devour you whole, with no self-restraint
Even if it means feeling sick and faint
Oh, greasy food, you are my weakness
My love for you knows no meekness
But I promise to love you in moderation
And not let my gluttony be my damnation
For you, my dear food, are a delight
And I’ll love you with all my might
From the sweet to the savory, you are my heart’s desire
And I’ll cherish you, Food, oh Food forever!
