In the depths of night, 

My pen takes flight 

With words so dark and deep 

My soul, it does keep 

Oh, how I love to write 

To let my emotions take flight 

On paper, they do flow 

My heart and mind aglow 

Creative writing is my passion 

It’s my outlet, my fashion 

To express myself with ease 

And let my thoughts run free 

Poetry is my love 

Like a gift from above 

It speaks to me in ways 

That leaves me in a daze 

So here I sit and write 

In the darkness of the night 

My pen it dances on the page 

Free from any constraint or cage!
