With confidence in my heart, I stand tall 

My spirit is unbroken. I will not fall 

My mind is clear, my will is strong 

I’ll face any challenge, no matter how long 

My voice is bold, my words ring true 

I’ll fight for what’s right. I’ll see it through 

No obstacle too great, no foe too tough 

I’ll overcome them all, that’s more than enough 

My courage is unwavering, my soul unafraid 

I’ll march to my own beat. I won’t be swayed 

For I know who I am and what I’m worth 

And that knowledge is my greatest strength on earth 

So, let the world try to bring me down 

I’ll rise above it all. I’ll wear the crown 

Of one who’s confident, strong, and bold 

And with that, I’ll conquer, I’ll never fold

Keeping this beautiful smile on my face, sometimes it is hard to do.

But I do it and try to be happy

I smile while burying the pain

I smile to keep from crying, hold that shit in

I smile/laugh to mask the real feelings

I smile wide and bright

I smile and I am praying for things to turn out for the better

I smile knowing other lives depend on me, no time for being down

I will continue to smile through it all

I will smile while knowing better days are coming

Together they stand guard 
Against any obstacle jarred

In the end, their love prevails

Free from all that ties me down 

On a spaceship built for fun 

I leave behind the world’s frown 

A getaway from it all 

A chance to live life on my terms 

To explore the vast unknown 

And all its secrets to learn 

On this journey, I find love 

In the stars and in myself 

With every planet I visit 

My heart expands with newfound wealth 

Soaring through the endless void 

I am free to be who I am 

On this spaceship, my home 

With the universe at my command

I dig and dig, with a shovel in hand 
Searching for ways to take command 
In every aspect of my life 
For me, no need for a co-pilot 

I want the power, I want the say 
I want control in every way 
The smallest detail to the grandest scheme 
I’ll be the one who’s pulling the strings 

But as I dig, I start to see 
That control is not the key to being free 
For every moment that I try to hold 
I miss the beauty that could unfold 

I put down my shovel, I let go 
And suddenly, my world starts to glow 
I can’t control everything, that’s true 
But I can control how I see it through

The aroma and warmth fill me with cheer 

Sipping slowly as the day begins anew 

Serenity surrounds me, a feeling so true 

Mornings can be hectic the rush to start the day 

But with a cup of coffee, everything is okay 

The world slows down, and I find my peace 

A moment to myself, a sweet release 

In this simple pleasure, I find my joy 

A little bit of comfort that nothing can destroy 

So, I’ll sit and enjoy this moment of bliss

My pride, my pride, it shines so bright 
But sometimes, it gets in the way of my sight 
I hold my head up high, full of confidence and might 
But my ego can blind me from what’s right 

I push and I strive, always reaching for the top 
But my pride can make me stumble and flop 
It’s hard to admit when I’m wrong or need help 
But to truly succeed, my ego must be kept in check 

I’ll swallow my pride and let humility take the lead 
In the long run, it’s the only way to succeed 
So I’ll take a step back and learn to compromise 
And let my pride take a back seat, for it’s time to be wise 

My pride, my pride, it’s a part of who I am 
But I won’t let it hold me back, for that’s not the plan 
I’ll use it to push forward but with grace and humility 
With a healthy balance, success will come.

Their smile ignites a flame within me

I long to hold them close and never be free 

In their embrace, love and passion entwine 

Though the world may try to keep us apart
