My pen in hand 

Music in the background

Notebook full of my thoughts, my fears 

Me being vulnerable 

Talking about myself 

Still 

I am content 

In my own world 

In my lonely space 

The music makes me feel calm 

In a good state of mind 

Ray is content 

Me and my vices

Moving On

Where whispers of hope are born,

I stand at the crossroads of yesterday, casting shadows long and worn.

The path behind, a story told in chapters of laughter and tears,

But ahead, the pages blank, beckon beyond my fears.

I’ve danced in the rain of memories, where echoes softly tread,

Held tight to dreams like autumn leaves, in colors of love and dread.

But now, with a gentle release, I let the past take its bow,

Embrace the uncertain breeze and whisper, “I’m moving on now.”

With every step into the unknown, my heart sings a brave new song,

A melody of freedom, of places where I belong.

The future, a canvas wide, with hues of what will be,

I paint with strokes of courage a portrait of the new me.

Here’s to roads untraveled, to the adventures that await,

To the stories yet unwritten and the love, we find in fate.

I’m moving on, with eyes wide open, into the dawn’s inviting light,

Where every moment is a chance to make the darkness bright.

Not in the glorious but in the gentle

I am a treasure not for the eyes

A Write Night!

Hello my blog peeps. Tonight, I am in an okay mood and doing what I do best and that is getting my write on. Been slacking and behind my writing schedule lately so I feel like it’s a catch-up night. I have writing goals tonight that must be completed before I hit the bed.

So tonight, I want to get 5-6 chapters done. May seem like hard work but the pen is flowing with no problems, I am in a zone and love it. I got two chapters done then made dinner so its back at it. It is taking some time getting this book done, so I need to work hard and publish it soon.

Good ideas are in the air. Relaxing night so far.

Well, my blog peeps, homegirl got to get back to it. Goals are getting met tonight. Homegirl is focused. Get It Done!! Ms. Author here!

Insecurity’s grip, a constant fight 

Yet within this storm, a strength shall rise 

For courage is born from teary eyes 

Insecurities may cloud my view

Accountability is key, it’s what we need 

To move forward and truly succeed 

It’s easy to shift the blame 

To avoid the consequences and the shame 

But the truth will always come out 

And in the end, it’s yourself you’ll doubt 

So be honest with yourself and others 

Don’t be afraid to ask for covers 

Taking accountability is a sign of strength 

It shows that you’ll go to any length 

To make things right and make amends 

To learn from mistakes and make new friends 

Be honest, take accountability

Epiphany

Upon nightfall, dim and softly fading

I am in

A quiet moment, still and deeply sown

Within my heart, a light began parading

A truth was unveiled; to me, it was unknown

This epiphany, like dawn’s first breaking

Illuminated paths I’d never seen

Through tangled woods of thought, I was mistaken

The forest for the trees, and in between

The realization struck, a bell resounding

That life’s complexities, though vast and wide

Are but a tapestry, with threads abounding

In patterns, our choices do decide

With newfound sight, my spirit soars, unbinding

A world anew, through clearer eyes, I’m finding

What this is in life
