Anything For The Take II

I can finally say that I am done with book two of Anything For the Take. It has been a long process when I say life has been chaotic….Never mind that. I was determined and so ready to finish this book. I have been writing for the last five hours, taking a couple of breaks to focus on the task.

I am so excited! It has been two years and 5 months, and I thought this book would be finished early, but here we are. I am done with the rough draft. Next, I will finish editing the book cover, copywriting, and publishing. I am happy to say that will happen very soon. Please be on the lookout for it!!

I just want to thank those who have supported me through this process. It has not been easy. I appreciate all the love and support, especially from my kids.

Happy Month of February and Black History Month. I have some new goals and changes coming this month, and I am excited about them. Seems January went too fast, but I am excited about this month and what will come. Of course, more of my poems and thoughts.

And more writing!!! I have a few ideas for books that I am starting this month. It’s going to be a bust month! Focused, I am! February

Good Memories on my mind!!!

Memories the good and the bad. Mostly the good ones though, just sitting here thinking. I am thinking of the good moments and memories me, my kids, and my mom has shared. It has been 23 days since my mom has passed and it seems unreal still. I sometimes still grab my phone ready to call her. This is so hard. Now all I have left is the great memories of her. She always had a beautiful smile on her face. These memories I will hold onto forever. Thinking of the good times sometimes helps when I am down. I love all our great memories and missing you mom. My mom My lil GLO, my Gloria your memory lives on. I will always have you in my heart.

In dreams, where silent whispers fly

A dreamer walks beneath the starlit sky

With hopes as vast as oceans wide and deep

Within her heart, a promise she does keep

To chase the dreams that dance in silver light

Across the night, into the break of dawn

Her steps are silent, yet her heart takes flight

In worlds of wonder, where her dreams are born

She sees no limits nor the bounds of time

For in her soul, the universe does expand

Each dream is a note within a grander rhyme

A melody that’s played by her own hand
