In a town where whispers fueled the air

Lived a soul, both fair and rare

A heart that sought to evade the fray

Choosing instead a peaceful way

This soul, amidst clamor and din

Found strength in silence, power within

Conflict arose, as it always will

Yet, they chose a path, steady and still

“Let’s talk,” they’d say with a gentle smile

“Find common ground, walk the extra mile.”

Their words, like seeds in fertile ground

Grew into solutions, profound

Enemies turned allies in their wake

Realizing there’s more at stake

In a world eager to divide and fight

They stood as a beacon of conciliating light

The tale of their journey, far and wide

Becomes a guide, a peaceful tide

For in avoiding conflict, they did not flee

But faced it with grace for all to see!

Facade

In the shadows where none can see

I wear a mask, not truly me

A facade of smiles, a facade of cheer

Hiding the truth I hold dear

Behind the laughter, behind the lies

A part of me slowly dies

I play my part, I play my role

But deep inside, I lose control

So here I stand, with the facade in place

Hiding the tears on my face

But deep within, a spark remains

Yearning to break free from these chains

If you won two free plane tickets, where would you go?

If I won two tickets to go anywhere, I would want to go to Jamaica or Paris.

I have wanted to go to those places since I was a kid. I think visiting them would be so much fun and an educational experience. It would be fabulous to learn about culture, people, food, music, and different traditions. There are also some places in Africa!

It would be hard to choose who to go with. I only have two tickets, but those are my answers.

I sense the truths that hide in sight

A gentle touch, a knowing glance

I read the world within a dance

Through subtle signs and silent queues

I navigate life’s hidden hues

My mind, a compass, ever true

Guides hearts and souls with wisdom, too

Intuition, my guiding star

Leads me near and takes me far

A gift so rare, a light so pure

In my presence, all feels sure

Where secrets of the soul reside

With every breath, a truth I glean

For I am intuition’s queen

When life presents me with a choice 

And I don’t know which path to take 

I close my eyes and clear my mind 

And my intuition starts to wake 

It whispers softly in my ear 

Guiding me towards what is right 

Urging me to trust my gut 

And to have faith in my own sight 

Although others may have opinions 

And try to sway me with their voice 

I know that deep down inside 

I have the power to make the choice 

I listen to my instincts 

I follow where they lead 

Trusting that they’ll keep me safe 

And fulfill my every need 

And even if I stumble 

Or if I make a mistake 

I know that I can trust myself 

To learn and grow with each step I take 

Here’s to trusting my instincts 

Having faith in my own heart 

When I listen to my inner voice

Awaken your senses

To clear your mind, get fresh air

Breathe in breathe out

Be at peace

Patient, Positive

I am learning to think and be more positive and patient. I used to think that if I had an idea and started working on it, things would happen fast or, as some will say, overnight. I must take my time with things to ensure they are done right. I am not rushing it, but my patience is not good. Lol, I get so anxious and then get angry. Instead of understanding that some things take time, patience is a virtue.

I am glad that I grew up and now fully understand how patience and understanding can go a long way. The same goes for being positive. At times, I used to think the worst instead of having faith that the situation would work out. To make it in life, you must grow and learn as you age.

I say I am making progress by taking the necessary steps to learn new things and, at the same time, learning more about myself. I am so proud of myself that I have come a long way. Though still an overthinker, I am working on that next. One step at a time. One day at a time. You can overcome your past and certain situations. Think positive, have faith, and have patience.

I am just thinking aloud, thinking about how I used to be compared to now. I love the results and am happy to share even though I am kind of rambling, lol. Progress and I am still learning and growing. Love to all who support.
