In the depths of the night, a ghoul roams 
Through the shadows and the haunted homes 
Its eyes aglow with a eerie light 
As it searches for its prey in the night 

But beware, for the spooky elf is near 
With mischief and tricks that bring fear 
It dances and flits from tree to tree 
And cackles with glee in its eerie spree 

The ghoul and the elf, a duo so strange 
Their mysterious presence can make you deranged 
So, stay far away, and don’t be caught 
By these spooky creatures, who haunt and haunt.

The Zombie and Owl! II

In the night so dark and dreary, 

A zombie roamed, so weak and weary. 

With tattered clothes and rotting skin, 

He shambled on, with no end to his sin. 

But then he heard a hoot so loud, 

It made him stop and look around. 

And there upon a leafless tree, 

A scary owl stared down at he. 

Its eyes so piercing, black as coal, 

Its feathers rustled, cold and old. 

The zombie felt a shiver run, 

As the owl hooted, “You’re never done.” 

For even in undeath’s embrace, 

The zombie could not escape his fate. 

But still, he walked, night after night 

Haunted by the owl’s warning plight 

And so, they both continued on 

The zombie and the scary owl 

A never-ending, eerie song 

Of death and darkness, with no cowl

She listens to music, Setting her scene
She dreams of a future where peace and love prevail
She is a beauty but not of this world
She belongs to a time where technology rules
She is a realist but also a dreamer
She is a paradox, a futuristic wonder
She is ME!

Compromise

I used to think that I was right 

That is what I thought was always bright 

But then I learned a life-long skill 

To compromise and bend my will 

It’s not about who’s right or wrong 

But finding common ground along 

To give and take, to meet halfway 

And find a solution every day 

It’s hard to learn this way of life 

To put aside internal strife 

But when we learn to compromise 

We find a way to end the lies 

Now, I try to compromise 

And meet the other halfway 

And though it’s not always easy 

It’s worth it every day!

I close my eyes and breathe in deep 

A fragrant blend that brings me peace 

The scents  of vanilla, lavender, and sweet 

Sugar cookies that make my heart skip a beat 

Vanilla, oh, how I adore 

Your sweet and creamy allure 

A scent that takes me back in time 

To childhood memories oh so divine 

Lavender, you calm my soul 

With your soothing scent, I feel whole 

Aromatherapy at its best 

Relaxation is put to the test 

Sugar cookies, oh, how you tempt 

My senses are on full attempt 

The sweet aroma fills the air 

A scent that’s impossible to compare 

Vanilla, lavender, and sugar cookies 

The heavenly scents are hard to overlook 

I’ll cherish the smells always  

My favorite fragrances fill my heart and soul to the core.

As it dances through the flowers

Oh, pink butterfly, you are a delight

As a loner, I live in solitude 

With my thoughts and my weed 

My mind is renewed 

I find peace in the quiet, away from the crowd 

Where my thoughts can flow freely 

Unconstrained and loud 

The world can be overwhelming, with its noise and its haste 

But in my own company 

I find a comforting space 

I may be alone 

With my mind as my companion 

The smoke fills my lungs, and I’m lost in my head 

With my thoughts and my dreams 

I’m never really dead 

Being a loner and stoner may not be for all 

But for me, it’s a sanctuary, a peaceful withdrawal!
