Symbolizes love and affection, a treat

Its soft petals, a blush of pink

A message of gratitude, it does brink

A gift of pink rose, so pure

Says thank you for being there, for sure

It conveys a message of grace

A gesture of tenderness, in every place

The meaning of the pink rose is clear

A sign of love and admiration, so dear

It speaks of joy and happiness

A symbol of elegance and loveliness

So, let the pink rose speak for you

And express your feelings, through and through

Let its beauty and fragrance convey

Every morning no matter how I feel I tell myself that I am loved, I am strong, I am beautiful and I am worth it.

Even if someone else does not see my worth I do. I teach this to my daughter and my nieces I tell them to always love their selves. Loving yourself and believing in your self comes from within.

When it comes to love, it takes two 

To make a bond that’s strong and true 

One cannot carry all the weight 

For love to grow two hearts must mate 

Communication is key they say 

To keep the love from fading away 

Both must listen, and both must speak 

To understand each other’s needs 

It’s not just about the happy times 

But also, the lows and the uphill climbs 

Together, they face the world ahead 

With love and trust, they’ll never dread 

A relationship needs more than just a trend 

It takes two to make it last. And with each other, it will surpass.

Decisions

I must sit back and look at the situation, figure out what my options are, and make some decisions. I have a lot to figure out and fast. So many thoughts in my mind right now and sometimes I do not know what to do, it is hard dealing with certain situations when there are children involved. The decisions I make will affect them too. Anyway, I must do what is best for me and my family and make sure that we will be okay, that is my priority.

On another note, I have to make the right decisions regarding my writing, and my books. That is challenging because I have so many ideas and I want them all out. I need to learn that it is okay to work at a slow pace so that way it is done right, and I have good material for my readers. I do not want to rush my work and it is not good quality. This weekend I have to make my mind up on some things. Man, so many decisions need to be made. Ugh, what to do?

Sunday morning, the world is mine 

As the cool breeze blows and the sun starts to shine 

The day is fresh, full of promise and hope 

A time to relax, to unwind, to just cope 

The air is crisp, with a hint of dew 

The birds are singing, their melodies new 

I take a deep breath and let it all in 

The happiness and joy that come from within 

The day is long, but I have no fear 

For I know that on this day, all is clear 

I’ll take a walk, or maybe just sit 

And bask in the glory that this day emits 

Here’s to Sunday, the day of cool vibes 

The day of happiness and no more jives 

May we all take a moment to pause and reflect 

And enjoy the simple things that we often neglect
