Keeping this beautiful smile on my face, sometimes it is hard to do.

But I do it and try to be happy

I smile while burying the pain

I smile to keep from crying, hold that shit in

I smile/laugh to mask the real feelings

I smile wide and bright

I smile and I am praying for things to turn out for the better

I smile knowing other lives depend on me, no time for being down

I will continue to smile through it all

I will smile while knowing better days are coming

I smile; you should, too.

We seek adventure, we have no cares to spare

We laugh and we sing, under the starry sky
Our memories we cherish, as time passes by

Our journey is long, but our spirits are high
For we know that this night will never die

Social Media II

Do you think that social media hurts or ruin relationships?

Do you think that social media has taken over some people’s lives?

I do not think so. I think it is the person who is being irresponsible on social media, not just social media itself. I have been hearing for a few years now that people blame social media for some of their relationship problems, and sometimes, I do not understand it. I feel like those types of people should just stay off it if it will help their relationship.

For the second question, I do believe that social media has taken over some people’s lives. Everything that they do goes on social media, they always feel the need to get attention, and advice from people on these apps. I also feel like some people expose themselves and their families. Getting advice, I don’t feel that is a big deal, but people who put all their business out there I feel it is too much. Some things should be kept off the internet. I do feel social media nowadays is a big deal to some people, and I know some people make their money that way, so I cannot knock what social media provides for some. I just think it is an overload. People will do anything for attention and money.

Amidst the chaos of the world so wide 

There lies a place where peace resides 

A calmness that can’t be denied 

A feeling that beautifully abides 

With each breath, the mind is eased 

As worries and fears are released 

And the soul is finally appeased 

The stillness that has increased 

In this serene and tranquil state 

There is no room for hate or debate 

Only love, joy, and pure grace 

That fills every moment and space 

I seek this inner peace 

And let the worries and troubles cease 

For in the calmness, I find release 

And a world that is filled with ease

I look into the mirror, and what do I see? 

A person staring back who’s always been there for me.

Through all the ups and downs, the good times and the bad 

I’ve always been my own true friend, the one I’ve always had 

I used to criticize and pick apart my every flaw

But now, I choose to love myself, and that’s the key to it all

I am worthy of respect, of kindness, and of love

And I won’t let anyone convince me otherwise, not now or ever 

I will stand up tall, with confidence and pride

I love myself for who I am and never try to hide. 

I will embrace my flaws and all and cherish every part

For I am unique and special, and that’s what sets me apart

On this snowy Sunday morning 

The world outside is newly born 

A blanket of white, oh-so-bright 

Envelopes all within my sight 

The chill in the air bites my nose 

But the beauty around me overflows 

The trees, the roads, the houses too 

All coated in white, a magical view 

I sip my hot coffee and take it all in 

Feeling grateful for this winter sin 

For in this moment, all seems right 

On this snowy Sunday, it’s so bright!

In the silence of the night, anguish increases

A spirit weary, battered, and worn

Lost in a labyrinth of pain, unable to sleep

Yet in the darkness, a glimmer of hope

Whispers of healing, a chance to mend
