With confidence in my heart, I stand tall 

My spirit is unbroken. I will not fall 

My mind is clear, my will is strong 

I’ll face any challenge, no matter how long 

My voice is bold, my words ring true 

I’ll fight for what’s right. I’ll see it through 

No obstacle too great, no foe too tough 

I’ll overcome them all, that’s more than enough 

My courage is unwavering, my soul unafraid 

I’ll march to my own beat. I won’t be swayed 

For I know who I am and what I’m worth 

And that knowledge is my greatest strength on earth 

So, let the world try to bring me down 

I’ll rise above it all. I’ll wear the crown 

Of one who’s confident, strong, and bold 

And with that, I’ll conquer, I’ll never fold

In the depths of my heart, I know it’s true

That what I offer is not enough for you

I’m not the one who can fulfill your needs

And I fear my love will only cause you to bleed

I want to be the one who makes you smile

But it seems that I fall short by a mile

My flaws and faults are too much to bear

And I can’t escape this feeling of despair

I wish that I could be the perfect one

To hold you close until the setting sun

But my love is not enough to make you stay

And I am left to face another lonely day

Perhaps one day I’ll find the strength to see

That I deserve a love that’s meant to be

Until then, I’ll try to learn and grow

And pray that the pain inside will soon let go.

The sad truth is, I am not what you want….

Floating through the galaxy 

Free from all that ties me down 

On a spaceship built for fun 

I leave behind the world’s frown 

A getaway from it all 

A chance to live life on my terms 

To explore the vast unknown 

And all its secrets to learn 

On this journey, I find love 

In the stars and in myself 

With every planet I visit 

My heart expands with newfound wealth 

Soaring through the endless void 

I am free to be who I am 

On this spaceship, my home 

With the universe at my command 

In my spaceship its my heartland!

What was the hardest personal goal you’ve set for yourself?

The hardest personal goal that I have set for myself is becoming an author. I have always been a writer, writing poetry and short stories, but never put my work out there. Four years ago, I made that decision. I say it is a hard goal that I set because it is not easy. It takes time, dedication, passion, and consistency. Consistency to me is the hardest trying to make sure I make time for writing, editing, and designing since I self-publish. This is a hard personal goal due to all the steps involved. I want to be a good writer, tell stories that people can relate to and ones that they will love. I love my ability to use my imagination and creativity and do so freely. Though it is a hard process I am happy that I made that decision to become an author, I love writing and getting my ideas and thoughts out. A hard personal goal that I will continue to pursue.

When it comes to love, it takes two 

To make a bond that’s strong and true 

One cannot carry all the weight 

For love to grow two hearts must mate 

Communication is key they say 

To keep the love from fading away 

Both must listen, and both must speak 

To understand each other’s needs 

It’s not just about the happy times 

But also, the lows and the uphill climbs 

Together, they face the world ahead 

With love and trust, they’ll never dread 

A relationship needs more than just a trend 

It takes two to make it last. And with each other, it will surpass.

Falling in love quick, deep feelings 

Like a rush of water, a strong current 

Swept me off my feet, left me breathless 

I didn’t know what hit me, but I knew it was love 

Everything felt different, colors brighter 

The world was a canvas waiting to be painted 

And I had the perfect palette of emotions 

A rainbow of feelings, all for you 

In your eyes, I saw the universe 

In your touch, I felt the warmth of the sun 

I knew that I was home, safe and sound 

In the arms of the one I loved 

Falling in love quick, deep feelings 

It’s a rollercoaster ride, a wild adventure 

But I wouldn’t have it any other way 

For you are my heart, my soul, my everything

As I lay in ashes, broken and torn 

My will to live was almost worn 

But deep within, a spark remained 

A glimmer of hope that still sustained 

From that ember, I rose once more 

A phoenix, strong and fierce at the core 

With wings spread wide, I soared up high 

Leaving behind all the pain and the sighs 

For though I had suffered and been brought low 

I knew that I was destined to grow 

And with each flap of my fiery wings 

I left behind my old, broken things 

I rose above the struggles and the pain 

A symbol of hope, a beacon to reign 

For though life may be full of strife 

There is always a way to start anew and thrive 

So let the flames come, let them burn 

For I know, I will return 

Stronger, wiser, and more free 

For deep within, I have what it takes 

To rise above the ashes and make no mistakes 

Like a phoenix rising
