Bitterness

I used to be a soul full of love 

My heart was pure, and my spirit dove 

But betrayal and lies left me alone 

Now, my heart is as hard as a stone 

I see the world through jaded eyes 

My trust in others has met its demise 

I’ve been scorned and left to wither 

My soul now bitter like a poisoned river 

I try to let go of the pain and hurt 

But the wounds are deep, and they still assert 

I pray for solace and a new start 

But the bitterness in my heart won’t depart 

I know deep down inside 

That this bitterness I must abide 

For it is a part of who I am 

A survivor of Love’s cruel scam

Bottled Up

I keep my feelings bottled up 

Locked away from prying eyes 

For fear of judgment or rejection 

Or the pain of being criticized 

I smile and nod and play along 

But inside I’m a stormy sea 

My emotions churning and roiling 

But no one knows the real me 

I’m afraid of being vulnerable 

Of showing my true self 

So, I keep my guard up constantly 

And put my feelings on the shelf 

But I know this isn’t healthy 

To keep it all inside 

I need to find a way to open up 

And let my emotions take a ride 

To let my true self show

The State Fair

In the state that I live in the state fair is a huge thing (well probably in any state). I live in Minnesota and have been living here for about 25 years, and I have never visited the state fair. I always talk about and say that I want to go but have never gone. It seems like it is interesting and a lot of fun especially if you’re with family and friends. Of course, being a foodie, I would love to go and eat some of the delicious-looking foods that are at the state fair. Hopefully, soon I will finally go.

Deep in my heart, a yearning resides 

A desire for a love that never subsides 

A yearning for a romance that’s real and true 

A longing for happiness that’s long overdue 

I dream of a love that’s pure and deep 

One that’s strong enough to make me weep 

A love that’s patient, kind, and true 

A love that’s built to last and never through 

I long for a romance that’s full of life 

One that’s free from pain and strife 

A romance that’s sweet and pure in the heart 

A romance that’s built to last right from the start 

And so I wait, with bated breath 

For a love that will bring me life, not death 

A love that will fill my heart with joy 

A love that will never, ever be a ploy 

For I know that one day, my true love will come 

And we’ll dance in the moonlight, under the sun 

Hand in hand, we’ll walk the path of life 

Together, forever, as husband and wife 

In a Real Romance!

Well now it would be two snacks and that is Lay’s Original potato chips and my other favorite snack/candy Kit Kat. I love both and enjoy them while I write. I must say it was needed lol.  

I am a big big fan of Lay’s chips and could eat them all day. Yummy!!! Who doesn’t love snacks!!
