Embarked on a journey

To find my true self

Guided by intuition

And the whispers of my heart

Through mountains and valleys

And oceans deep and wide

I searched and I wandered

With an unrelenting stride.

And as I journeyed further

A truth began to unfold

That the answers that I sought

Were within me all along.

So I turned inward

And listened to my soul

And found the adventure

That led me back to home.

Now I walk with purpose

And a deep sense of peace

For I know that I am whole

And my spirit is at ease.

This adventure of self-discovery

Has led me to a place

Where I am free to be myself

With love and boundless grace.

My king, my love, my heart’s delight
With pure intentions, I hold you tight
Your regal grace and noble presence
Have captured me, my soul, my being

In every breath, I feel your love
A gift from God, a gift above
Your gentle touch, your soothing voice 
Have made my heart rejoice

With every passing day, my love for you 
Grows stronger, deeper, and truer
I pledge my heart, my soul, my all
To love you always, to heed your call

A gentle sound that can’t be beat.

A twirl of the feet, a turn of the head

A vision of beauty, all are led

A lively tune, a graceful sway

A harmony of music and play.

A harmony of all the senses

The sight and sound of such intense

A ringing in the ears and soul

An uplifting feeling that takes control.

A sweet sensation, a lively show

A union of music and dance, we all know

A story that can never be told

Compromise

I used to think that I was right 

That is what I thought was always bright 

But then I learned a life-long skill 

To compromise and bend my will 

It’s not about who’s right or wrong 

But finding common ground along 

To give and take, to meet halfway 

And find a solution every day 

It’s hard to learn this way of life 

To put aside internal strife 

But when we learn to compromise 

We find a way to end the lies 

Now, I try to compromise 

And meet the other halfway 

And though it’s not always easy 

It’s worth it every day!

Such a big world

Yet I feel so small

Finding a place to fit in

Feeling like I do not belong

Great possibilities, A great future

Yet too scared to take that leap

Or so you think, there are crooks out there

Such a big world

However, a world I am scared to seek

I close my eyes and breathe in deep 

A fragrant blend that brings me peace 

The scents  of vanilla, lavender, and sweet 

Sugar cookies that make my heart skip a beat 

Vanilla, oh, how I adore 

Your sweet and creamy allure 

A scent that takes me back in time 

To childhood memories oh so divine 

Lavender, you calm my soul 

With your soothing scent, I feel whole 

Aromatherapy at its best 

Relaxation is put to the test 

Sugar cookies, oh, how you tempt 

My senses are on full attempt 

The sweet aroma fills the air 

A scent that’s impossible to compare 

Vanilla, lavender, and sugar cookies 

The heavenly scents are hard to overlook 

I’ll cherish the smells always  

My favorite fragrances fill my heart and soul to the core.

Confined

Struggling

Will be weak no more

Awake

Ready

Scream, fight shout

My way

Out this

Box.

This box

Me in it

I say think above it all

I survive,

That box can suck it!
